This app is intended to simulate reading the Bible as if it was a scroll. The original books of the Bible were just that a series of scrolls. Selecting which book of the Bible you want to read by simply touching it on the main screen. This will open up the scroll to be read.

Chapter buttons on the left side of the Torah Scroll are available for faster access. Enlargement of the text is done by placing two fingers on the screen and then separating your fingers. Words can be selected and then defined with Apple Built-in dictionaries or copied. Once copied a search for a translation on the web can be started by pressing the "Translation" button on the right side of the Torah Scroll. Every attempt has been made to match up the English text with its corresponding Hebrew or Greek texts so that words can be compared. Please note: Chapter and verse numbering may be different between the KJV and the Hebrew Tanakh or Greek New Testament.

The TechTorah program is based on the King James Version of the Bible. Certain words have been translated to reflect their Hebrew root. Many of the words are replace with the Hebrew equivalent. It is hoped that this translation will bring a fuller and richer understanding of God’s Holy Scriptures to its readers.

Disclaimer: TechTorah is designed to run only on iPhone 5 (4" screen or larger). If run on any other device it will not display properly.
